Pinning an emotion to music is not always easy. Although most styles are fairly clear – happy, joyful, sad, or whatever – a few, such as flamenco, can at times express emotions a bit harder to define. In the rondeña there’s – what can I say? – a kind of peace, a melancholy, a joy, a power, or even deeper – a beauty, a mystery. Regardless how rough and raw the music is (as in this small offering) some of those elements may be found. I hope so. May it speak for itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKwtoFDaKUo
